Thomas Worthington High School freshman Jessica Watson will attend the Capital University Winds and Percussion Camp in Bexley, Ohio June 8 - 12! Congratulations to Marietta High School freshman Griffin Jeffery, who will perform alongside the Zanesville Memorical Concert Band as part of the High School Honor Band on Sunday, May 31 for their "Horizons" concert! The free 7:00 PM outdoor concert will be held at Zane's Landing Park (rain location: Zanesville City Schools STEAM Center).

Congratulations to my student Henry Warner, a freshman at St. Charles Preparatory School, for winning second place in the Central Ohio Flute Association Competition's Junior Division! Henry performed works by Pessard and Mouquet at The Ohio State University for the final round on March 7. Bravo, Henry!

Congratulations to Worthingway Middle School 8th grader Jessica Watson for being nominated to the Ohio Wesleyan University Middle School Honor Band ! Jessica will rehearse in Delaware, Ohio February 13 and 14 for the culminating performance on Saturday at 2:00 PM in Gray Chapel. Want to participate in next year's OWU Honor Band Festival? Congratualtions to St. Charles Preparatory freshman Henry Warner on being named one of three finalists in the Junior Division of the Central Ohio Flute Association Competition! The final round of this national competition will be held at The Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio on Saturday, March 7 from 8:30 - 9:30 AM, when Henry will perform Pessard's Andalouse and the first movement of Mouquet's La Flute de Pan . Tips for In-Person Recital Success 2026 Get enough rest the night before your performance (8 hours, please!), and consider an afternoon nap to calm nerves. Eat a good meal before your performance.
